3 guesses on what I’m asking Santa this year. Wait, make that one guess. You all should know by now. It’s time to upgrade my 5 year old digital camera.
And the camera I’m asking Santa for is the Canon 7D. Oh, doesn’t it look fabulous? It will be such a step up for me. Perhaps I won’t have to run the Dfine noise reducer on every single picture any more. . . .
So here is the deal. I need help with my wishlist. This is such an important decision for me and I want all the advice I can get.

Are those good lens selections until I can save up for a 70-300 and the 85mm 1.8? And I do want that Speedlite one of these days too.

Love your list! Go for the speedlite, you can’t go wrong. Next to my Tamron 28-75 lens, the speedlite is my love!!!! It makes such a difference. Also the 50mm 1.4 is awesome. I found mine on craigslist, and don’t regret the purchase one bit!!

My other wish lists include, new jammies, new clothes (preferably gift cards), candles of any sort, decor for my house, or a macbook!!!
I have the iMac but would love, love, love the macbook! i’d also like a new wedding set, my eyes are getting bad and I think I need a bigger diamond that i can see!

I hope Santa comes through with your new camera because I would love to hear your review where noise is concerned. I just got my XSi in February and I’m already wanting an upgrade (not gonna happen just yet
The noise is RIDICULOUS at anything above 400 ISO which is sad because when I’m shooting at an ap of 11 or so for a family shot, higher ISO’s could be really helpful to bump up the shutter speed. Oh well. I DO have the 50 1.4 though and I lOVE it. I always get asked what lens I use because it gives such stunning results

What is on my wishlist is the 50 mm 1.4. I just bought a 35 mm 1.8 and I am in love.
I want the 50 mm 1.2 L lens. And the 7D.

My suggestions for your wish list would be Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson (although I’m sure you’re WAY beyond this and know all about perfect exposure) and an external hard drive (although unlike me, I’m sure you are on top of being prepared and already have one of these).

Love your list and think that getting the lenses you mention first will work well for you. I too want a Canon 7D but I know it’s not going to happen for awhile. I currently have a Canon 40D and really enjoy it but the 7D has some great new features I can’t wait to try. What about adding a battery grip to your wish list; I have one on mine and hope to have it some day also. I hope you get it for Christmas and then write a review for all of us to read.
