I desperately want to explore photography and editing as a serious hobby. I’ve been trying to learn Elements 7. I’ve been doing an online tutorial, but it isn’t really telling me what I want to know. I like playing with it, but I don’t know if it is capable of what I am wanting to do.
For example, I took some pics of my boys in bluebonnets last weekend. As I am certain you are aware, getting two boys to sit together and smile is impossible, so I used the group shot feature to move one boy into the picture with the other boy. It doesn’t look bad, but it’s certainly not perfect. The space around the cut is blurry and weird looking. I couldn’t make that go away. When I have seen people working on photshop (regular) I have seen them be able to Click on a good spot on a yellow shirt for example and then go back to the blurry spot and “heal” that spot around his head and ears?? Do you understand what I am trying to do? Do you even know if Elements is capable of such things?
Anyway, there are so many things I want to do and I just don’t know if Elements is even capable. Not that I can afford Photoshop anyway…but at least I could stop wasting time messing with Elements. I would take a class or try to find a live tutor, but I really don’t know where to begin. I live in Austin too. Thanks so much for your time.
