Thanks for listing these… I’ve recently found you and have greatly enjoyed looking though everything and starting to get a better grasp on my photography/editing. I can’t wait to dig in some more!
Thank you for the list. It will be a great help for me!
Hi there! i have gone over and over your tutorial to download the actions from pioneer woman.
But i still cant get it to work.
I have elements 6. And my files go straight to Winrar.
When you say i must convert a file to something else. I still only have one file, i never have two files.
please help
You are downloading a zip file that you need to unzip first. You might also be having firewall issues if the file is a winrar. Unfortunately, that isn’t something I can help you with without being connected to your computer. You can google how to open winrar, or you can looking into my installation service here:

Hi! I just found you blog and LOVE it! I am new to PSE and love all the resources you provide. Thank you so much for making everything so user friendly that even beginners can join in the fun!
Do all of your actions and tips work with a mac as well or only pc’s?
They work on mac and PC both.
I have searched the internet trying to find a good place to learn PSE. Once I came across this website, I knew I had found what I was looking for, a great website for learning elements and all that it can do to help me produce some good pics. Thank you for all your dedication to this website.
This website is fantastic. I have PSE 8 for over a year now and have been sooo confused trying to learn how to use it. Thank-you so much for putting in the time and effort to post the tutorials. I cannot wait to get started.
Thank you Gail! I”m so glad I can help!
I am trying to download the Pioneer Woman Actions PSE 8 for a Mac. Could you maybe make a video of it? The steps seem easy enough, but I don’t have any of those same folders. I go from the system library, to the application support, then to a folder titled “Adobe Photoshop Elements 8″, and then there is only one folder- presets. Which has a bunch of folders from actions to volumes… any ideas? A few weeks ago when I tried this, i got all the way until renaming Mediadatabase.db3. It was nowhere to be found!! A video tutorial would help immensely! I’m excited to take the photoshop class! How much would it cost for you to install those actions? I’m at my wits end! Can anyone help?
Abby, I have lots of videos here.
I just saw the fee. Sorry for that. I’d love to do it myself though… is it too complicated?!!!
Abby Smith´s last [type] ..Surgery and a musical!
I am interested in your online classes but instead of Elements I have CS5. Would the information gained from this class be applicable to CS5? I am new to the program and looking for any help available. Thanks!
Lisa, check out the classes at MCP Actions. They’ll be better for you.
Hi there,
I have bought the PSE Skintone lesson and it is great. The way you worked on the portraits is completely new knowledge for me and I can’t wait to try it. But I have one request. Do you think you could add a cheat sheet like they have in the PhotoshopElements Users site?
I am about to sit down with a pen and a pad and try to write down the steps as you talk on the video. It is going to take me a long time. It would be so much easier if you had a procedure sheet that I could refer to.
Hope to hear from you soon.
