Wow Wow Wow!!! That’s probably the best it will ever be! What a fabulous Christmas present that would make. I’d also recommend the Scott Kelby book “Photoshop Elements 8 for Digital Photographers” to go along with it. His books give very easy step-by-step instructions…just like your blog!

thanks for posting! I recently found your blog and LOVE IT! I currently have PSE 5. Do you think I need the upgrade?

Thanks Marne! I really appreciate the comment.

PSE 8 is a huge improvement over PSE 5. I think you’ll be really impressed if you do upgrade. There are lots of new features, but one of the best reasons to upgrade is that it is so much easier to install actions in PSE 8. It’s great to be able to easily use all the actions that are available for Photoshop Elements these days!

Quick question… if I am upgrading from PSE 6, is there an easy way to transfer all of my actions that I’ve downloaded from other places?

Sure. Copy the actions and related files (PNGs, XMLs, etc.) from the PSE 6 Photo Effects folder where you installed them into the corresponding PSE 8 folder. Enjoy!
