Hi Rachel,

You have two options. The first is that you can follow the above directions, installing only the ATN file. When you look for your new action in the Effects Palette in Photoshop, there will be no thumbnail picture associated with this one, only a blank square. However, by selecting Show All in step 7 above, the name of the action will appear below the blank square.

The second option is that you can create the thumbnail yourself in Photoshop. It should be 64 pixels by 64 pixels, saved as a PNG. You could use the text tool to type the name of the action, if you wanted. Then you would follow the above instructions to install both your PNG and the ATN.

Let me know how that works for you!

Double check that you selected Program Data rather than Program Files from your C drive. If Program Data is hidden, instructions for unhiding it are above. Let me know if that doesn't work - good luck!

Hey, I love your actions, however, the directory pathway your instructions say to follow does not exist. I'm doing the PSE 6.0 on Vista and still have no clue where to install the files. For example, I do not have Photoshop Elements - 6.0. There's no 6.0 file under Photoshop Elements. Instead I have Photoshop Elements 6.0, as my first directory, and NO CLUE where to go after that. I thought I had stumbled upon it when I found an Effects folder and a Filters folder, but neither one of those seemed to work. HELP!!!!!
