I sat in on Tracy’s last class, and wow, was it intense. Tracy is full of energy – the workshop lasts about 4 hours. I was exhausted – I can’t imagine how she felt. But the info kept flowing and flowing!
Tracy teaches this class using a combination of live and video presentations. You will see her in action shooting newborns via videos that she has previously recorded during her photography sessions. And she will provide live commentary and answer questions about those shoots as you watch the videos. Learn topics like:
- How to set up beanbag shots
- Infant soothing techniques
- Infant “cues” and how to react to them
- Safe, breathtaking poses
- Compose the best images in camera
- Transition from pose to pose and from beanbag to prop
Tracy will also show you how she edits her images, using MCP’s Newborn Necessities actions, among other techniques. (The actions are not included with the price of the workshop, however.) The processing portions of the class are demonstrated in full Photoshop, but most techniques will be applicable to Elements (and the Newborn Necessities actions definitely work in Elements).
Your workshop fee of $349 will cover the live workshop plus your exclusive access to a private newborn meeting place. After attending, you will be able to interact with the class instructor and your peers. Additionally, you will have access to select video clips, ongoing newborn photography tips, and a forum to ask your questions.

I just want to put in my 2 cents worth regarding Tracy’s Newborn Photography: Online Start-to-Finish Workshop for anyone that is thinking about taking it. It by far the best online workshop I’ve taken and worth every penny. Tracy has such knowledge and is so helpful. Even after the class is over, she continues to interact with us on Facebook and answer questions. Take the class, you won’t be sorry!
