I am still just trying to understand what all the tools mean in photoshop and how to make layers/masks/etc…Grrr! So, I’m hoping that actions will easy to understand once I master the basics!

Hi Judy,

If you used my instructions for installing the actions, you’ll find near the end instructions for what to do in the Effects Palette. Also, there is a link on this post for a step by step on an action already. Not sure what you mean by creating folders. I provide personal step by step instructions for using actions in the forum – you can find a link on the right side of the page.

Hi, I just installed PSE8 and I’ve followed the directions for the installation path to install actions. I’m at the Photo Effects window, what do I do next?
I’m new to this, so I need step by step directions, like what to click next. I know it will be simple once I learn this. I’m not sure how to create the folders I need and where to put them. I would be grateful for any help.

I have never, ever used an action, I have PSE 5 and Windows xp. This is the first place i have found that is going to explain how to use one… Thank you!
