KJude, don’t be afraid.
You were made to be a blogger-er-er.
I have a great friend named KJude. She wants to start blogging and is looking for a way to bring home a little extra money. (Aren’t we all?)
Talking to her last week about Texas Chicks Blogs and Pics, we came up with the idea of using her as a case study for this blog. Hmmm, does that make me a mad scientist? I hope not.
Anyway, we brainstormed about topics that she could blog about. Then she mentioned that she loves beauty products. Now, I’ve always known that this woman was beautiful. When she told me last week that she is over 50, I thought she was lying. Her skin is gorgeous! I really thought she was much younger.
It turns out that KJude is an expert on skin care. She is familiar not only with many products, but, more importantly, where we can get them at the best prices. And I think she met the most important criterion for blogging- she identified a subject she is passionate and knowledgable about. Talking about healthy skin care and natural beauty products made her eyes light up literally.
KJude, don’t keep it to yourself.
Take my old skin, and make it better-er-er.

Now some of KJude’s other ideas for blogging topics were interesting. She is witty and a great writer, and these topics probably would have made for hilarious reading. However, they didn’t lend themselves to product commissions, affiliate marketing, or even google ads, for that matter. And, talking about natural skin care for getting-older women is a very specific niche, and I imagine that there are lots of us who would love to have KJude’s skin.
So, I am announcing KJude’s new blog: Take Some Old Skin (and Make it Better). I’ll post the link to it as soon as she is ready. I’ll also publish a series of “notes” to KJude on this blog so that you can follow along with my suggestions to her for customizing her blog, creating an enjoyable past time for herself, and building an extra income stream.

I think that is an excellent name for the blog. I am looking forward to it’s launch mainly because the direct selling company I am involved with just launched a new line of mineral makeup and I am incorporating that subject into my blog.
