This red wash might make for some creepy Halloween eyes or could spruce up some roses nicely. And as lipstick, this effect does look natural at a very low opacity.
To Apply Lipstick in Photoshop Elements
- Select the lips or other area that you want to redden
- Add a Solid Color Adjustment Layer by clicking on the half-black half-white circle near the top of the Layers Palette
- When the Pick a Solid Color box pops up, type ff0000 in the # field. Hit Ok.
- Change the Blending Mode of this layer to Soft Light and reduce the opacity as needed (usually a lot).
