It’s Saturday morning, December 19. Today only, Amazon is selling the PSE 8/Premiere Elements 8 box set for $70 after a rebate! This is huge!
The cool thing about this upgrade, in my opinion, is that the Organizer will ummm, organize your imported movies right alongside your photos. This is great for those cameras that record movies as well as still shots.
You can also access a host of movie quick fixes through the organizer and easily get rid of those long boring stretches between the good parts of the movie.
Enjoy!

I’ve read your post on the actions for Elements 8. I’ve followed step by step and it just doesn’t work at all. NONE of my actions do. I guess the actions I do have from the internet isn’t “up to date” for the new Elements. I’ve tried every way possible. That and I guess that my actions being a “set” doesn’t really help any. I just received Elements 8 in today as a Christmas gift. Not exactly the photoshop I would purchase for myself. I’ve grown so used to CS3. It seems to me like Elements 8 is pretty limited. I like to put “watermarks” on my photographs and Elements 8 won’t even let me “make” an action for it. ???
UGH! I’m still pretty glad I got this for a gift though. Never know when you’ll need back up.
Anyways.
I enjoy your posts. I’ve just discovered your site not too long ago.
Hi Chas,
You do need to make sure that your actions are compatible for PSE specifically – most of them aren’t. If you have CS3, I would continue using that or most jobs. You definitely can’t create actions in PSE, although you can find some that work in it. Thanks for visiting!
